BTW, They are doing $60.00 rentals on leathers and boots for the day. That's right just $60.00 gets you hooked up for the day...EMILY

Do you have to have a health card or can you sign a waiver?

I'm more worried about bike liability than health. Maybe that's ignorant of me, but the selfish part of me thinks this would be an awesome birthday.

Em - I can tell you right now the only reason my ass was at the last track day, is because if something did happen to my bike, my shitty little jeep SHOULD do the job as far as getting me to work and letting me live on with my life. If i didnt have the jeep, i sure as hell wouldnt have chanced it.

In your case, you are taking a risk taking it to the track. This is your only mode of transportation, unlike most track riders.. Not to mention no heatlh ins. IF something should happen, you would be screwed. And I somehow dont think that everyone would be willing to jump out of the gate and drive you to work, groceries, errands, SCHOOL, IF you do crash or something catastrophic should happen.

Tracks are without a doubt the most fun and safest way to enjoy your bike. But if your bike IS the only thing you have to get you through life. You should prob not gamble with it.

My 2 cents.

Yea, it's not worth it, because I'd feel too paranoid to push on the track. I was just dreaming about not playing pitbitch.

And if I was stupid enough to wreck, the last thing I'd do is ask people for rides.

has nothing to do with being stupid.

people wreck all the time on the track. Its the safest place to. but most people that do track days, usually have a back up vehicle in case something should happen.. I am just saying I would not chance it with my only mode of transportation.

It's true Em, don't be pressured into something that may be in your worst interest. You gotta look out for you...bc it is true...you can't rely on others, especially in this city.

Although...I'd love for you to go to the trackday! Will you go either way??

I will be staying an extra day. That long drive after the trackday was brutal. I am going to stay an extra night in my 3 STAR bed and drive back Monday morning. Gonna get some Jacuzzi time after the trackday!

If you are going to be in level one you might as well take the class. The on track feedback alone is well worth the time!

Gosh damn this is SOOOOO tempting right now...

However, I don't have any way to trailer the bike up there.

Arson - If I did end up going, I'd take the training school with ya...it's been a while since I've been on the track, so the school would benefit me a bunch, I'm sure.
