Ouch. :( Maybe now with my changed shift I might be able to go on a Sat night and spend the night and do a Sun track day and then drive home, but that's a long way home when you're exhausted from a track day. :(

Thanks for the info.

5 1/2 - 6 hours.
We stop for lunch along the way, and get there in time for dinner.

Click on the map link on top post, or below.

K, got it..ya, looks like 328 miles or so (5 hrs & 47 min, per Google)..just on the west side of Bakersfield. I never looked it up before. Maybe I'm confusing this with Thunderhill? I thought one of them was like 8-9 hrs like Josh said...maybe that's Thunderhill? Miller? I don't know... LOL

Still a little ways out...not too bad though. Probably not much more than running to Willow/Streets or even Chuckwalla from what I remember looking up before.

Maybe if I ever get some extra cash and the time off I can go with you guys to one of these "far away" tracks and have a fun track weekend.

Bug him about it...squeaky wheel gets the grease...

Worst case...whats the damage on the current one ?
Maybe we can fix it so its operational at least.

I've emailed him everyday. I guess when the bike slid into the dirt it hit a rock and dented the cap into the tank and threw the part where the radiator cap bolts on to out of round. It wouldn't seal. Had to take pliers to my cap just to get it off. It looks like the tanks are cast in aluminum. Afraid of taking pliers to for fear of cracking it since it is cast and not formed.

Torch it, then bend the top of the neck just enough to where the cap seals properly.

As for ebay...look for another radiator.
Let the guy know you need it, and if you dont hear from him you will cancel the payment and order somewhere else.
