I wonder if he upgraded the brakes to account for the additional horsepower?

Ya know, I have always wondered how these swaps hold up. Seems to me that the motor and transmission, while making high horsepower numbers, were built to move around a 500lb bike with a 200lb rider, NOT a 1500lb car with another 400lbs of driver, passenger and not to mention fuel.

Seems fun though. Kinda like a car I saw a while ago. Ford festiva (original festiva) with a 91 Taurus SHO yamaha V6 motor in it. that shit MOVED!

The engine would be fine but you would go through clutches a little sooner

obviously... but i would think the little aluminum case halves and bearings would not hold up well to the added stress.

A buddy of mine had a GMC Typhoon and that shit was fast as hell, and he would run 17lbs of boost through it and it would take it with a smile, but he also had a friend that hitched a typhoon and pulled a small box trailer with his... went through transmissions like dirty socks. Just wasnt built for the added strain.

Not being critical at all though as a busa swap into something like this is something I would personally do without hesitation, resources available of course... just curious is all. LOL

I think the motor would hold up just fine. There are guys with 350hp turbo busa's running around no problems, again the transmission? That's where the added stress from the weight will show up
